The boundary of the strategy area follows the commercial and residential parts of the electoral division boundary of Kingsbridge to the south and east, Penyrheol to the west, (excluding Grovesend) and Gorseinon to the north-east. The industrial park at Garngoch to the east is also included within the strategy area although the residential parts of Penllergaer ward are not included. The area therefore encompasses the communities of Gorseinon, Kingsbridge, Garden Village and Penyrheol.
